Ezekiel Elliott not worried about rookie wall

Ezekiel Elliott

At this point it seems the only thing that can stop Ezekiel Elliott might be the theoretical “rookie wall.” And the Dallas Cowboys running back has just busted through that wall like the Kool-Aid man.

Elliott was asked Tuesday about the rookie wall, and he gave an answer that Cowboys fans will love.

The thinking behind the rookie wall is a player fresh out of college has never played as many games in a season as he will in the NFL, so by the time that 13th or 14th game kicks in, the player is no longer at the top of his ability.

What people should realize about Elliott, though, is that his Ohio State Buckeyes played 13 games last season, and 15 the season before. During the 2014 season, Elliott finished the season with three consecutive games of at least 220 rushing yards, and eight total touchdowns.

If anything Elliott has already proven that he is a strong finisher, which should be comforting for the Cowboys, who lead the NFL with a 9-1 record.
