Former teammate says Marshawn Lynch is definitely retired

Marshawn Lynch Seahawks

As quickly as we hear a report that Marshawn Lynch is considering a comeback, it’s denied by someone nearly as quickly.

Former Seahawks fullback Michael Robinson, a current NFL Network analyst and former teammate of Lynch’s, says he has heard from the man himself that he has no plans of making a comeback.

“I called Beast Mode,” Robinson said Friday on Periscope. “Record this, everybody, please. Marshawn Lynch is retired. He told me from his own mouth. He said, ‘Dude, I’m not going anywhere. I’m as busy as I’ve ever been.’ He’s in Africa, he’s in Australia, he’s all over this world helping people.”

Sounds pretty definitive. It’s not the first time we’ve heard rumblings that Lynch may not be fully committed to retirement. That said, the season starts in two days, and for all the talk, there has been no movement and no indication that any is coming. It’s probably not happening, at least not right now.
