FOX reportedly set to win bidding for ‘Thursday Night Football’
“Thursday Night Football” will have a new home next season.
Multiple reports said on Tuesday night that FOX is expected to win the bidding for Thursday Night Football.
Bloomberg said that FOX’s bid is for more money than CBS and NBC had paid for the product the past two seasons. The previous deal, which ran in 2016 and 2017, was for $900 million over the two seasons.
Sports Business Journal’s John Ourand reports that the deal announcement could come as early as Wednesday.

Thursday Night Football games are also televised on NFL Network. ABC was said to be another network involved in the bidding for the games, which cost on average $45 million per Thursday night game. That is why the league continues to play the games despite the serious complaints from players.
