Gisele hits out at criticism of her response to Patriots’ loss
Gisele is not particularly happy with how the words she used to comfort her children after the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl loss have been interpreted by some.
Josh Peter of USA Today originally reported that, after the Philadelphia Eagles’ 41-33 Super Bowl win over the Patriots, Gisele comforted her kids by noting that the Eagles had never won a Super Bowl. The wife of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady went on to tell her kids that “you have to let someone else win sometimes.”
“Sometimes you have to let other people win,” Gisele said. “…We have to share. Sharing is caring.”
Critics seized on these comments, saying that it came off as Gisele telling the kids that their father had let the other team win, which was disrespectful to the Eagles. She hit back at those criticisms on Wednesday via Twitter.
Just to be clear. No one “let” anyone win. People win because of their own merit. Tired of people twisting my words to create drama that doesn’t exist!

Perhaps Gisele’s message wasn’t the most articulate, but she was clearly coming from the right place and she handled her husband’s defeat with class. This shouldn’t be a big deal.
