Hue Jackson: DeShone Kizer still has ‘huge future’ with Browns despite benching
Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson has spent most of the season talking up quarterback DeShone Kizer — and he’s still doing it, even after benching him.
Jackson said Wednesday that, though Kizer has been benched in favor of Kevin Hogan, the rookie quarterback still has a “huge future” with the Browns and has all the tools to be a franchise quarterback.

That last quote is the first real doubt Jackson has cast on Kizer after being a huge public cheerleader all season. It’s likely just a motivational tactic as he tries to help Kizer reach that potential.
