Hue Jackson: Terrelle Pryor needs to tone down trash talk
If you were expecting Cleveland Browns coach Hue Jackson to unconditionally back Terrelle Pryor against Pacman Jones’s trash talk, you were wrong.
Jackson believes the Browns’ leading receiver needs to tone down the trash talk and focus on football.
“I don’t think (that has) any place in the National Football League, especially on our team,” Jackson said, via Pat McManamon of ESPN. “We’re going to try to get all those things quieted down. We just going to play football, be the best football players we can be. Let’s get away from all of that.”
According to Jones, Pryor said that he was going to get the Bengals cornerback cut with his performance. Given that Pryor had just one catch for three yards, Jackson may feel that the extracurriculars are something of a distraction and are causing his receiver to lose a bit of focus. If so, you can’t blame him for wanting him to cool it a bit.
