This Friday, J.J. Watt will be hosting the The J.J. Watt Charity Classic, a softball game that will see members of the Texans offense face off against the defense. Not surprisingly, the event is hugely popular and if you’re fortunate enough to get a ticket, letting it go to waste isn’t an option.

One fan was able to get her hands on tickets. However, to be able to attend she will need to miss work on Friday. So, she reached out to last year’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year for a little help.

Watt obliged by writing her the above letter, which reads:

To: Ashlee’s Boss

Ashlee has requested that I write you a letter to excuse her on Friday so that she may attend my charity softball game. The thing is, I have no authority to excuse her, only you do. What I will say, is that she purchased tickets to this sold-out event and she is willing to drive 5 hours to come support us and help raise money, which in turn is going to change the lives of many kids. So if you’d excuse her, that’d be pretty cool.

Thanks for your time.

Go Texans,

J.J. Watt 99

With that at her disposal, Ashlee will surely be enjoying a fun-filled Friday evening at Constellation Field.

Here’s Watt mic’d up during last year’s event.
