Jadeveon Clowney turns trash cans from Jaguars fans into Christmas gifts
Houston Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney sparked some controversy with his recent comments about Blake Bortles, and he’s turning it into something good.
After Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, Clowney derided Jags quarterback Bortles as “trash.” Naturally, this provoked a reaction from Jaguars fans, who began ordering trash cans and having them delivered directly to NRG Stadium in Houston addressed to Clowney.
The defensive end found a good cause to use all those trash cans for.
Thank you @Jaguars fans for sending trash cans to NRG! It inspired me to fill them and an entire truck with toys to turn a negative situation into a blessing for some deserving women and children at @MissionOfYahweh #turningtrashintotreasure #merrychristmas pic.twitter.com/LamHoDSLEk

It’s a solid move by Clowney. Even Jacksonville fans can appreciate the gesture — perhaps they’ll feel incentive to send even more trash cans.
