Jaguars reportedly not planning to place Leonard Fournette on IR
The Jacksonville Jaguars essentially admitted that they do not expect Leonard Fournette back any time soon when they acquired Carlos Hyde in a trade, but it does not seem like they believe he is in danger of missing the remainder of the season.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Jaguars have no plans to place Fournette on injured reserve. The star running back will, however, miss at least the next two games before Jacksonville’s Week 8 bye.

Fournette has played in just two games this season due to a hamstring injury he suffered in the season opener and re-injured in Week 4. His inability to remain healthy dates back to college, when Fournette played in just seven games as a junior because of lingering foot issues.
The Jags were a much better team a year ago when Fournette was at the top of his game, but a recent report claims there is some frustration mounting with him among the team’s coaching staff.
