Jaguars’ Gipson thinks Chiefs will earn top seed in AFC
The Jacksonville Jaguars were thoroughly dominated by the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday and came away impressed with their opponents following the loss. They also categorized the 30-14 defeat as a case of being beat rather than letting one slip away.
According to The Athletic’s Lindsay Jones, several Jags defenders feel like they will see the Chiefs again in the playoffs. Safety Tashaun Gipson, who became the first player all season to intercept Patrick Mahomes, even said he thinks the Chiefs will earn the top seed in the AFC.
Jaguars safety Tashaun Gipson: “I didn’t see this coming. … We didn’t lose, we got beat.”

Several Jags defensive players strongly believe they'll see the Chiefs again this season, in the playoffs, probably back here at Arrowhead. Said Gipson: "The road to the Super Bowl is coming through here."

Kansas City is 5-0 and has been an offensive machine this season, so few would disagree about the thought that they might earn the top seed in the conference. For players from a strong team like the 3-2 Jaguars to say it means even more.
