Jamaal Charles has had two knee surgeries in past month

Jamaal Charles

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles underwent arthroscopic knee surgery Monday, which marks the second such procedure he has had this month.

As Adam Teicher of ESPN.com notes, the surgery Charles had Monday was on his left knee. The 29-year-old had his right knee scoped earlier this month.

Charles will turn 30 in December, and it is starting to sound like we may not see him again this season. He tore his right ACL last season and has appeared in just three games this year. At this point, it’s fair to wonder if his career could be in jeopardy.

A recent report indicated the Chiefs were hopeful they would have Charles back for the playoffs, but that is almost certainly not going to happen.
