Jamaal Charles reportedly had meniscus trimmed

Jamaal Charles Discount Double Check

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles underwent an exploratory knee procedure earlier this week, and now we’re getting more details about the nature of the operation.

According to a report by BJ Kissel of Chiefs.com on Friday, Charles, who is currently on injured reserve, had his meniscus trimmed.

Knee troubles continue to plague Charles over a year after he tore his right ACL. He’s appeared in only three games for Kansas City this season, logging just 40 rushing yards and a touchdown. The three-time All-Pro was placed on injured reserve at the start of the month.

Though Charles has been said to be dealing with problems in both his knees, the Chiefs are holding out hope that he returns at some point this season. With the team at 5-2 on the year, Charles still has a chance of contributing to a playoff run, but that may be wishful thinking at this point.
