Jamaal Charles to visit knee specialist again

Jamaal-Charles

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles has experienced pain in both of his knees this season, and he is going to see a specialist this week because of it.

Following Sunday’s win over the Indianapolis Colts, Chiefs head coach Andy Reid revealed that Charles will visit world renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews.

Charles, who tore his ACL last season for the second time in his NFL career, has played in just three games this season. He was inactive on Sunday. He has a total of 12 carries for 40 yards and has been extremely limited even when he has been able to suit up.

Something obviously isn’t right with the four-time Pro Bowler, and you have to wonder if he will end up being shut down for the season. At age 29, Charles is having a tough time bouncing back to the explosive form he became known for. When you hear reports like this, it seems pretty clear that Charles’ best days are far behind him.
