Jared Lorenzen offers his services to Cardinals in great tweets
The Arizona Cardinals were down to their third-string quarterback on Thursday night, so Jared Lorenzen decided to jokingly throw his name in the mix in case the NFC West contenders were looking for some extra options.
Lorenzen, who starred at Kentucky for four years during college and spent time in the NFL with the Giants, sent these funny tweets to the Cardinals:
Gotta love The Hefty Lefty. He’s probably hovering around 400 pounds now, if we had to guess. If you ask him, he couldn’t tell you how much he weighs.
Lorenzen last was associated with an NFL team in 2009, which is when the Colts cut him at the end of training camp. Since then, Lorenzen has toiled in the Ultimate Indoor Football League and Continental Indoor Football League, and has even made some highlight reel-worthy plays.
As for the Cardinals, Carson Palmer was already out for the season with a knee injury. Drew Stanton, who was elevated to starter, left the game in the third quarter, leaving Ryan Lindley to enter the game.
