Jason Pierre-Paul on Cowboys: ‘We’re going to put it on them’

Jason Pierre-PaulThe New York Giants are hot and suddenly looking like a decent football team. After beating the Green Bay Packers 27-13 on Sunday for their fourth win in a row, they started to feel cocky. Well, at least one player was.

Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul, who had an interception returned for a touchdown in the fourth quarter against the Packers, promised a beatdown of the Dallas Cowboys in the upcoming Week 12 game between the teams.

“We’re going to put it on them, man,” Pierre-Paul said, via Dan Graziano of ESPN.com. “I’m pretty sure the offense is going to get going. The defense is going to get going even more. And the special teams will contribute to it. It’s going to be a fight. It’s going to be a dogfight. There’s going to be a lot of blood spilled out there.”

Wow, so not only is JPP predicting a big win for the Cowboys, but he thinks a lot of blood will be spilled and hits will be made.

Giants-Cowboys is already a game that comes with interest built-in. Pierre-Paul just added even more excitement to it. He shouldn’t get too cocky, though, because the Giants will be facing their first tough quarterback in over a month. They’ve caught a lot of breaks by facing Josh Freeman, Matt Barkley, an injured Terrelle Pryor and Scott Tolzien during their winning streak. Tony Romo will be a much different story.

Of course, the last time Pierre-Paul made a guarantee like this, he turned out to be right. The Cowboys are officially on notice.
