Jason Pierre-Paul having another surgery on hand
New York Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul underwent another surgery on his right hand Monday morning.
Pierre-Paul shared a photo on Instagram that showed him preparing for another operation.
Lord I absolutely believe you have the power to heal. You demonstrated that on earth and through me already, and you still heal in miraculous ways for me and many others. Even when my faith is weak, you say it is enough, and my love for you is strong. And I know you already hold my heart and life in your hands. It's up to you. If I can bring you more glory through healing, then that's what I ask for. #90powerCircle #SurgeryDay #ImSoReady #JustTheBeginning
It has been more than six months since Pierre-Paul mangled his hand in a fireworks accident, but he acknowledged weeks ago that he would need more offseason surgery. JPP opted to put off the procedure until after the season so he could return to play in 2015.
If you have seen the photos of Pierre-Paul’s hand, you know how serious the accident was. He clearly still has a long way to go before he is used to playing football with only one properly functioning hand, and that was evident when he was struggling to make tackles (video here) during the season.
Pierre-Paul is set to become a free agent in March.
