Report: Jay Cutler expected to play hurt against Raiders

Jay Cutler Bears

Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler is expected to return to the field against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, assuming he doesn’t suffer a setback during warmups.

Jay Glazer of FOX Sports reports that the Bears are planning on Cutler starting despite his hamstring injury still not being 100 percent healed. When Cutler suffered the injury against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2, he was expected to miss at least two games.

Cutler injured himself trying to make a tackle after he threw an interception in a blowout loss. You can see a video of the play here.

With Jimmy Clausen unable to get anything going against the Seattle Seahawks last week, the 0-3 Bears know that another loss would essentially end their season. Cutler gives the team a better chance to win, and it sounds like he is willing to gut it out.
