Jeremy Lane arrested for driving under the influence
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane was arrested early Sunday for driving under the influence.
While little information was initially available about Lane’s arrest, he was booked at roughly 5:30 a.m. local time, according to Brady Henderson of ESPN. The 27-year-old was released four hours later.
There was no information immediately available about specifics of the arrest, including his blood-alcohol level.
Lane had a somewhat tumultuous season on the field. He played in 13 games and racked up 18 tackles, but there was little else to write home about. It was widely expected that the Seahawks would cut Lane this offseason to save some money. An incident like this will probably just serve to expedite his departure.
