Jets a ‘serious contender’ for Ndamukong Suh, have reportedly offered most money
Ndamukong Suh is inching closer to making a free agency decision, and a new team has entered the mix — the New York Jets.
Suh, who has taken visits with the Los Angeles Rams, Tennessee Titans and New Orleans Saints, told Jordan Schultz of Yahoo Sports that the Jets are a “serious contender” to sign him.
Ndamukong Suh update: #Suh tells me that the #Jets have emerged as a serious contender, alongside the #Titans, #Rams and #Saints (in no particular order). While a visit to NY has yet to be facilitated, Todd Bowles/the Jets have informed Suh precisely how they envision using him.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Jets have offered Suh more money than any of the aforementioned teams.
The #Jets have the biggest offer, though there is no visit yet. Suh would have to take less to go to the other teams… which he may do https://t.co/Zw8lp4vv4Y

The Rams said earlier in the week that they feel good about their chances of signing Suh, but it certainly makes it interesting that he would have to take less money to sign with them or any team other than the Jets.
While he recently turned 31, Suh did not miss a game in his three seasons with the Miami Dolphins and has continued to play at a high level. He was reportedly released for reasons other than football, but that hasn’t seemed to scare any potential suitors away.
