Jets not sure if Eric Decker will return in 2016
The New York Jets admitted that there is a fear that Eric Decker has played his final snap of the 2016 season.
Coach Todd Bowles conceded Friday that there is at least a chance of Decker missing the rest of the season due to his partially torn rotator cuff, but it is simply too soon to tell.
“I’m not sure,” Bowles said of the possibility of Decker missing the season, via Zach Braziller of the New York Post. “They have to monitor it. [Doctors] said some people play with it over the course of time. We’ll see how it goes.”
Decker is currently being characterized as week-to-week. The plan for the moment is for Decker to rest and rehabilitate the injury, but if it doesn’t respond to that within a few weeks, season-ending surgery may be unavoidable.
