Report: Jets, Sam Darnold will finalize contract Monday
Rookie quarterback Sam Darnold’s contractual stalemate with the New York Jets looks like it’s close to being resolved.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Darnold is expected to sign a four-year deal worth $30.25 million, with $20 million of it guaranteed.

Based on previous reporting, it doesn’t seem that Darnold quite got the guaranteed money he was looking for, but he appears to have come quite close. He won’t have missed much of camp, he’ll get $20 million guaranteed, and he’s settled for four years. It looks like something that works for both sides.
