Johnny Manziel would love to sign with Patriots as Brady’s backup
Johnny Manziel is desperate for a return to the NFL, so it should come as no surprise that he would love to join the New England Patriots if given the opportunity.
A TMZ cameraman ran into Manziel outside a restaurant in Los Angeles over the weekend and asked the former Heisman Trophy winner whether he would go to New England, which was suggested by an NFL Network analyst.
Manziel said he would “in a heartbeat.”
His response should not come as a surprise for a few reasons. Not only does Manziel want back into the league, but he also has clearly demonstrated in the past that he is a Patriots fan. He attended the AFC Championship Game in New England last year and showed his fondness for Tom Brady.
Also, Manziel should be banned from mocking the Cleveland Browns. His decision to completely flake on them is a big reason why they were so bad the past few years.
