Johnny Manziel stays in game despite taking shot to head
Johnny Manziel took a big shot to his head during Montreal’s CFL game against Ottawa on Saturday but did not miss any action.
Manziel was trying to score on a run from Ottawa’s 18 in the third quarter when he met some serious contact near the goal line. Manziel ended up fumbling, but his Alouettes recovered for a touchdown.

Though Manziel appeared to be woozy after the big hit, he remained in the game and quarterbacked Montreal’s next possession. The CFL may want to reexamine their concussion policy if a player is allowed to stay in the game after a big shot to the head like that.
