Johnny Manziel says his behavior is no different than what it always has been
Johnny Manziel returned to Twitter Friday to send his first messages of significance in over a few months. His messages seemed as tone deaf as ever.
The former Heisman Trophy winner pitted himself against the world in his tweets, saying his behavior of late is consistent with what it has always been.
You guys act like what I'm doing is something new. I've been the same person, doing the same things since it all started.

Made plenty of mistakes along the way, and have a lot I'd do differently. To all my family and real friends who have stuck by me…THANK YOU

If what Manziel is doing is nothing different than what he’s always done, then some people did an awful lot of covering up for him over the years. He has been partying almost non-stop the past several months. He skipped a Cleveland Browns game to go to Las Vegas. There were reports he damaged a rental property and his group left signs of drug use behind.
He has been dropped by two NFL agents since February, lost endorsement deals, and he was released by the Browns. He is unemployed and even one of his closest friends from college was recently worried about him.
Manziel’s tweets show all that is wrong with him; the majority of the world can see his life spiraling, while he thinks all is well. It’s quite sad.
