Jon Dorenbos to appear on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Jon Dorenbos is among the better long snappers in the NFL. He’s earned two trips to the Pro Bow for it. Apparently, Dorenbos is also pretty entertaining to watch away from the football field.

Dorenbos has had a fascination with magic since his early teenage years. Now, he combines his love for performing magic with motivational speaking. On Tuesday, Dorenbos will show what he can do on the popular show “America’s Got Talent.”

“As soon as the season’s over, I tour,” Dorenbos told NJ.com. “I do a lot in the corporate circuit. I do corporate speaking and do the magic tied into it. I do cocktail hours, do pick pocketing, close up stuff, then do the keynote and stand up comedy stuff with that.”

While it will be the first time most of the country will get to see Dorenbos perform, his teammates have already gotten glimpses of Dorenbos’ skills.

“I do it in the locker room, on the road,” he continued. “My style’s fun.”

The upcoming season will be the 11th for Dorenbos after going undrafted out of Texas-El Paso. At 35-years-old, one would think Dorenbos is in the home stretch of his career. However, it doesn’t appear he will have too much trouble staying busy when his playing days are over. Dorenbos may be coming to a city near you.
