Jordy Nelson calls his dropped passes ’embarrassing’
Jordy Nelson caught just four passes against the New York Giants Sunday night despite being targeted 13 times, and a lot of that was his own fault. Nelson dropped multiple passes, one of which led to an interception. Let’s just say he doesn’t need a lecture from the coaching staff.
After the Green Bay Packers’ 23-16 win over the G-Men, Nelson was very critical of himself.

Nelson did make a nice diving catch for Green Bay’s first touchdown of the game, but much of his production this season has come in the red zone. He is tied for the league lead with five touchdown receptions, but he has not looked nearly as explosive since returning from a torn ACL.
The Packers looked like they were going to have their way with the Giants after marching down the field and scoring a touchdown on their first drive, but they sputtered for much of the night after that. While Nelson is obviously a huge step up over the receiver who tried to replace him last year, you have to wonder if age (he’s 31) and his previous knee issue are slowing him down just a tad.
