Joseph Randle arrested following incident at ex-girlfriend’s home
Former Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was reportedly arrested early Monday morning following an incident at his ex-girlfriend’s home in Texas.
Law enforcement officials told TMZ that Randle was on his way to Kansas when he decided to stop at his ex-girlfriend’s house at roughly 3 a.m. He reportedly asked if he could come inside to sleep for a while and the residents (its unclear if Randle’s ex was among them) would not allow him in. Police were called to the scene and found that Randle had a warrant out for his arrest stemming from a speeding charge, so they took him into custody.
Randle’s bail was set at $359.
Monday’s arrest is just the latest in a long string of off-field incidents for the 24-year-old over the past year. He was released by the Cowboys just before the NFL suspended him four games for a personal conduct violation, likely stemming from a marijuana arrest last February. Prior to that, Randle was arrested in an incredibly embarrassing shoplifting incident at a department store. You can see a video from that arrest here.
More recently, Randle was arrested outside a casino for allegedly assaulting a security guard while intoxicated.
Prior to the Cowboys releasing Randle, there were reports that the team was concerned about his well-being in the wake of the former Oklahoma State star calling police to have them do a well-being check on his girlfriend, who was staying at his home at the time. Officers found no sign of a crime, but Randle was clearly distraught over something.
The chances of seeing Randle in the NFL again are very slim.
