Josh McCown will return to Jets on $10 million deal

Josh McCown

Josh McCown played well last year for the New York Jets, so the team is bringing him back again next season.

The two sides agreed to a one-year, $10 million deal, according to NFL Media’s Mike Garafolo.

That kind of money suggests the Jets will look to McCown to start some games for them. They also are said to have interest in Teddy Bridgewater.

McCown passed for 2,926 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions last season. The Jets went 5-11 and were far more competitive than many expected. The Jets also hold the No. 6 overall pick in the upcoming draft and could use that spot to select a quarterback. Having McCown gives them a nice bridge to a future QB.
