Julian Edelman reportedly remains out with foot injury, will miss Week 15
Unfortunately, Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman will not be making his triumphant return to the exuberant huzzahs of the Gillette Stadium faithful this Sunday.
According to a report by Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald on Saturday, Edelman has been ruled out of the Patriots’ Week 15 matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

The 29-year-old slot receiver has been out since breaking a bone in his foot in the first quarter of New England’s 27-26 victory over the New York Giants in Week 10. Edelman was originally given a timetable of six-to-eight weeks, but made a moderately miraculous return to practice ahead of Week 14. He wasn’t quite ready for that week’s game against the Texans however, and now will take at least another week before he makes his way back onto the gridiron for the Pats.
Edelman, who has recorded 692 receiving yards and seven touchdowns on the year so far, is one of quarterback Tom Brady’s favorite targets. Though the Patriots are sitting pretty right now at 11-2, they still have a lot to play for with homefield advantage and a first-round bye in the AFC currently at stake. Head coach Bill Belichick and Co. will hold out hope that Edelman can still return to the lineup and make a solid contribution to the team before the regular season is over.
