Julius Peppers, Clay Matthews, James Harrison cleared in NFL PED probe

Roger Goodell

The NFL’s investigation into PED accusations levied in an Al-Jazeera documentary continues to turn up nothing of note.

Green Bay’s Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews and Pittsburgh’s James Harrison have all been cleared after they sat down for interviews with league investigators, the NFL said Wednesday.

As noted by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Mike Neal, a former Packer who is currently a free agent, is now the only player investigated who has not yet been cleared of wrongdoing.

The investigation has been panned, by Harrison in particular, as pointless. You can expect that we’ll be hearing from the now vindicated Steelers linebacker soon enough.
