Kelvin Benjamin says he will likely undergo knee surgery after season

Kelvin Benjamin knee

Kelvin Benjamin has been battling a knee injury for several weeks now, and the Buffalo Bills wide receiver says he may have to go under the knife to remedy the issue.

On Friday, Benjamin confirmed to reporters that he will “probably” need to undergo surgery during the offseason to repair the torn meniscus in his right knee. Benjamin, who was acquired by the Bills in a trade with the Carolina Panthers earlier this season, has dealt with knee injuries in the past and has already had ACL surgery.

If the Bills weren’t in the playoff hunt, Benjamin probably would have been shut down by now. However, he has missed just two games despite the significant injury. Benjamin’s practice reps have been limited, but he is expected to play on Sunday against the New England Patriots.

Benjamin has caught 41 passes for 595 yards and three touchdowns this season in his time in Buffalo and Carolina.
