Kirk Cousins had funny reaction to DeMarcus Cousins signing with Warriors
Kirk Cousins is not the only Cousins that landed with a new team this offseason, and the star quarterback sees some similarities between NBA big man DeMarcus Cousins and himself.
With DeMarcus Cousins having agreed to a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors on Monday, Kirk says he has to keep doing a double-take when seeing headlines about DeMarcus’ big move.

Like Kirk said, DeMarcus is also betting on himself. The circumstances are a bit different, as Kirk turned down long-term extension offers — possibly low-ball ones — from the Washington Redskins and played under the franchise tag for two straight seasons. The end result was a three-year, $84 million deal with the Minnesota Vikings that is fully guaranteed. DeMarcus signed a one-year deal with the Warriors for the $5.3 million midlevel exception, and he is hoping to prove he is healthy and can still be dominant after tearing his Achilles last season.
DeMarcus Cousins is said to have taken an even bigger gamble on himself than Kirk, but there’s no denying the two Cousins’ are definitely betting on themselves.
