Kirk Cousins not expecting draft day trade
There has been a lot of talk about Kirk Cousins potentially being traded, but the quarterback is not expecting one to go down around draft time.
Cousins was a guest on ESPN “NFL Live” on Tuesday and said he is not expecting anything to happen around the draft.

Cousins was franchise-tagged by Washington and is set to make nearly $24 million this season. Washington reportedly has offered him a five-year extension for around $20 million per season. If Cousins hasn’t signed it, that’s likely because he feels he is worth more.
There was believed to be somewhat of a lack of faith in Cousins from Washington’s side, which was keeping them from offering him big money. But that may not be the case, as the team’s president says he and Cousins laugh about the trade rumors.
