Laremy Tunsil attorney says stepfather likely not hacker

Laremy Tunsil

The search continues for whoever hacked Laremy Tunsil’s social media accounts on Thursday night. Tunsil’s attorney believes one person can likely be ruled out, while the Miami Dolphins themselves have a pretty good idea of who it was.

Tunsil’s attorney, Steve Farese, appeared on SiriusXM’s Weekend Playbook and said that Tunsil’s estranged stepfather probably wasn’t behind the hacks.

“Initially, that would be the low-hanging fruit,” Farese said, via Shalise Manza Young of Shutdown Corner. “But it’s so counter-intuitive that if that were the case it didn’t make any sense. Now I’ve drifted away from those thoughts and don’t believe he had anything to do with this.”

Tunsil is being sued by his stepfather, so when everything went down on Thursday night, he was the immediate suspect. But with him likely out of the picture, who could it be?

One NFL team reportedly suspected a former financial advisor fired by Tunsil. The Dolphins have been conducting their own investigation, and they have the same suspicions.

Whoever it was who leaked the video and the text messages, they cost Tunsil at least $7 million in salary. Hopefully they track down the culprit.
