Laremy Tunsil admits he took money from Ole Miss staff

Laremy Tunsil

Laremy Tunsil could have easily protected Ole Miss and said the text messages posted to his hacked Instagram account were fake, but instead he admitted to taking money while at the school.

Thursday was a miserable day for the former Ole Miss offensive lineman. Projected to be the first offensive tackle off the board, Tunsil slipped to the Dolphins at No. 13 overall after a video of him smoking out of a bong was posted to his Twitter account. As if that weren’t enough, screenshots of text messages from him to an Ole Miss staffer talking about having them pay for his mom’s bills were shared via his Instagram page (see them here).

It was obvious Tunsil was the victim of hacking.

After being drafted by the Dolphins, Tunsil was asked whether he took money at Ole Miss. He at first denied it but then said he did.

“I made a mistake,” Tunsil said in a press conference via the Clarion-Ledger. “That happened.”

Tunsil was quickly escorted off stage after that exchange. Ole Miss is probably looking at some serious penalties from the NCAA.

Keep in mind that Tunsil was suspended to start the season due to impermissible benefits.
