Leonard Fournette launches own website with letter to fans

Leonard Fournette

Leonard Fournette is gearing up for what many expect to be a big sophomore year in the NFL, and the Jacksonville Jaguars star is looking to make more of a connection with fans heading into the season.

On Wednesday, Fournette launched his own website. One of the first things he did with the site was write a letter to fans entitled “Chapter 2.” Fournette touched on the success the Jaguars had in 2017 and how motivated he is to continue making the people of Jacksonville proud.

“We had doubters from day one – but on that same day, I saw just how special our team was. And throughout the season, we showed that,” Fournette wrote. “And we had a hell of a run, too – proved a lot of people wrong. We made the playoffs for the first time since 2007. Showed what we were made of against Buffalo, then went to Pittsburgh and took care of business. We fell short in Foxborough, but that loss is fuel for the fire this season.”

Fournette also spoke about how meaningful his charity football camps have been to him and how much he enjoyed getting to see how popular the Jaguars are in London.

“To know we have that kind of international support makes playing for our fans that much more meaningful,” he wrote. “Whether we’re in Jacksonville, in London or on the road, I promise that this season, we’re laying it all out there for Jags fans everywhere.”

After rushing for more than 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns in his rookie season, Fournette shed some weight this offseason and says he is as slim as he was in high school. There’s a reason we included him on our list of most important offensive players for each NFL team, and another big season from Fournette would make life a lot easier on Blake Bortles and the rest of Jacksonville’s offense.
