LeSean McCoy dealing with hamstring injury

LeSean McCoy has not missed many games during his NFL career, but the star running back always seems to be bothered by some minor ailment. Just one week into the 2017 season, and he has already missed a practice due to injury.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said Friday that McCoy is experiencing some soreness in his groin. However, he was sure to note that he is “very confident” McCoy will play against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday without limitations.

McCoy rushed for 110 yards on 22 carries and added five receptions for 49 yards in Buffalo’s Week 1 win over the New York Jets. He also injured his wrist at one point and had to go to the sideline after he said it “went numb.” That led to some questions about the 29-year-old’s workload going forward, but the Bills insist they are not concerned.

While there’s no reason to believe McCoy will be limited on Sunday, it will be interesting to see if his health can hold up over a full season.
