Le’Veon Bell thinks Giants were trying to hurt him, credits offensive line for protection
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell was not thrilled with what the New York Giants were doing on Sunday.
Bell feels that Giants defenders were trying to inflict injury, and he’s appreciative of his offensive line for protecting him from the worst of it.
“I’m glad I got my guys. I call them my goons up front,” Bell said of his linemen, via Jeremy Fowler of ESPN. “They are down to ride with me whenever.”
Bell first tweeted on Monday that the Giants were playing dirty against him, complete with video evidence.

After watching video on Wednesday, Bell said his response was “oh dang, they was really trying to hurt me.”
Bell has felt this way about other teams, too. You can definitely see why he was frustrated about what some of the Giants were doing late in Sunday’s game, though. He still rushed for 118 yards and added 64 receiving yards in the game.
