Le’Veon Bell officially signs franchise tender
Le’Veon Bell’s holdout is finally over.
The Pittsburgh Steelers running back finally signed his franchise tender on Monday, the team announced, ensuring he’ll get $12.1 million this season and getting him back with the team ahead of the season opener this weekend.
#Steelers RB Le'Veon Bell has officially signed his $12.1M franchise tag. Team gets a roster exemption for up to 2 weeks. So they have 54.

It is relieving, yet unsurprising news. Bell had always been firm about not missing any regular season games, and he’d already been back in the building on Friday. This just happens to be the official end to a lengthy saga, and Bell will have to settle for slightly less than he ultimately wanted.
