Le’Veon Bell threatens to sit out season in April Fools prank
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is trying to prank the internet, and somewhat succeeded early Saturday.
The Steelers running back sent a strongly-worded tweet Saturday in which he threatened to sit out the season if the team tried to make him play it on the franchise tag.
ppl can say literally whatever they wanna say…but idc, I will LITERALLY sit out the WHOLE YEAR before I decide to play on the tag!

It is, of course, vital to understand that this tweet was sent on April 1st. It was convincing enough, though, that former Steeler running back Najeh Davenport issued a word of advice.
@L_Bell26 Take it from an ole pro treat it just like business @steelers a great ORG but they gott keep the light on too

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler checked, though, and discovered that Bell’s tweet was, indeed, a prank.
Quality prank by Le’Veon Bell on sitting out 2017 if on tag. Double checked and it’s indeed an April Fools.

This is definitely a better prank than this ill-advised joke from the past. Bell definitely got some people going with it.
