Le’Veon Bell posts, deletes video admitting to smoking after marijuana arrest
Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell may have inadvertently confessed to using marijuana after his arrest in an attempt to take responsibility for his missed drug tests.
According to Michael David Smith of ProFootballTalk, Bell posted a video on Twitter Friday in which he accepted that he was culpable for the missed drug tests that led to a three game suspension from the league. In it, he said that he hadn’t smoked since December 2014 in an attempt to demonstrate that he’s clean.
What’s the problem, then? Bell’s arrest for DUI and marijuana possession came in August of 2014, four months before Bell said he stopped using it.
Ultimately, it’s good if Bell has stayed within the NFL’s drug policy. But between admitting to using marijuana just months after an arrest for it and then missing multiple drug tests, it’s not the best look.
