Lions player: Eagles looked like they quit in third quarter
As long as the Philadelphia Eagles continue to get blown out by opponents, questions will persist about whether or not they have quit on their head coach.
After an embarrassing 45-17 home loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend, the Eagles somehow managed to get worse in losing 45-14 to the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving. According to one veteran Lions player, a lack of effort became evident early in the second half.
One Lions vet on Eagles: "We made them tap out. … Guys just looked like they didn't want to play anymore." Said Detroit saw it in the 3Q.

This is a narrative that has been gaining a lot of steam in Philly. It seems like Chip Kelly can’t meet with the media without being asked if his players are quitting on him, and Thursday was no exception.

While Kelly has repeatedly said that he believes his players are giving 100 percent effort, we still have stories like this one about DeMarco Murray that suggest the opposite is true. And if you believe what this Eagles player’s agent said about the head coach, you know how ugly things have gotten in Philly over the past several weeks.
