Malik Jackson predicts Jaguars will go 16-0

Malik Jackson is not worried about burning himself on the hot take stove.

Speaking with TMZ Sports earlier this week, the Jacksonville Jaguars defensive tackle predicted an undefeated season for the team in 2018.

“I think we’re going 16-0,” he said. “I’m calling it, 16-0. I don’t think anybody can beat us as long as we stay healthy and do what we supposed to do. Nobody had us last year, and we went to the AFC Championship Game, and we were this close. I think we build our character, and I think we’re gonna be alright.”

The Jaguars did win the AFC South last season (albeit after going 10-6) and indeed lost narrowly to the New England Patriots in a 24-20 AFC title game. They also made some solid signings this offseason with the additions of wide receiver Donte Moncrief, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, and First Team All-Pro guard Andrew Norwell.

Regardless though, Jackson, should probably be careful here seeing as the last Jaguars player who was this bold wound up eating a big ol’ helping of crow.
