Marcus Cooper pulls a Leon Lett after blocked field goal
Marcus Cooper pulled off an all-time lowlight for the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
The Pittsburgh Steelers were lining up for a 35-yard field goal attempt with six seconds left in the half. The field goal kick was blocked and recovered by Cooper, who began taking it the other way. Cooper was headed for a sure touchdown, but he slowed down just before the end zone to celebrate and had the ball knocked out of his hands.

Cooper had almost stopped entirely just before crossing the goal line, and that cost the Bears six points. The officials met and ruled there was an illegal bat by the Steelers in the end zone and gave the ball to Chicago at the 1. The Bears ended up kicking a field goal to go up 17-7 at the half.
