Marcus Mariota leaves game with elbow injury
Marcus Mariota left Sunday’s Week 1 game between the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins with an elbow injury and was replaced by backup Blaine Gabbert.
Mariota had thrown interceptions on consecutive passes in the third quarter, the latter of which led to a field goal by the Dolphins. Gabbert came in to lead the Titans on their next drive.
Mariota was termed questionable to return following the injury.
It’s unclear whether this play was related to the injury that led Mariota to leave the game, but the Tennessee QB was hit in the throwing arm by William Hayes earlier in the contest.
