Report: Marshawn Lynch officially filing for reinstatement
The numerous reports we have heard about Marshawn Lynch returning to the NFL in 2017 are apparently true.
ESPN’s Ed Werder reported on Thursday that Lynch has officially begun the process of ending his retirement. Werder also noted that Lynch’s priority remains playing for the Oakland Raiders, but the running back could look to team up with Richard Sherman if Sherman ends up being traded.

Lynch is from Oakland, so it makes sense that he wants to play for the Raiders. However, the Seahawks still hold his rights and would have to either grant the 30-year-old his release or trade him to a team Lynch wants to play for.
We have heard rumblings that Lynch could be interested in playing for one other team (a team that was also linked to Sherman at one point), but the Raiders still seem like the most likely landing spot for Beast Mode.
