Report: Matthew Stafford unlikely to miss time despite ankle, quad injuries
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford is banged up, but the injuries look unlikely to keep him off the field on Sunday.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Stafford has injuries to his ankle and quad, but the Lions view those issues as unlikely to hold him out of their game against the New Orleans Saints.
The #Lions are optimistic that QB Matthew Stafford will be able to start vs. #Saints, despite injuries to his quad and ankle, I’m told.

Stafford took six sacks against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, and looked to be feeling the effects late in the second half. This is a guy who played through injury to end the 2016 season, so unless he’s severely hurt, it’s unlikely that he’ll miss time.
