Max McCaffrey suspended first four games of the season

Max McCaffrey has been suspended for the first four games of the 2018 NFL season.

Both NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport and ESPN’s Field Yates reported on Friday about McCaffrey’s suspension.

McCaffrey, 24, was an undrafted free agent in 2016 and signed with the Raiders. He spent time with the Saints, Jaguars and Packers. The wide receiver was signed by the 49ers last year and was released by them at the end of August after being placed on injured reserve with a foot injury.

McCaffrey has one career catch for four yards and has mostly been a practice squad player. McCaffrey’s father Ed played in the NFL, while brother Christian plays for the Panthers and another brother, Dylan, plays quarterback at Michigan.
