Mike Tomlin: Expect ‘a lot’ of Le’Veon Bell in Week 4

Le'Veon Bell

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le’Veon Bell is finished serving his three-game suspension to start off the 2016 season, and he is ready to dive face-first back into the fold.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said on Tuesday to expect “a lot” of Bell in Sunday’s Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs, per Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

The 24-year-old was suspended over the summer for missing a drug test, then got his ban reduced from four games to three upon appeal. He will return to a Steelers backfield that managed just 29 total yards on the ground in Week 3, a major step backwards after D’Angelo Williams, Bell’s backup, rushed for a combined 237 yards and two touchdowns in the first two weeks of the season.

Coming off a 2015 campaign where he rushed for 556 yards and six touchdowns despite missing 10 games due to injury and another suspension, Bell, the former All-Pro, appears to be full steam ahead for the remainder of the year for Pittsburgh.
