Mike Williams: Player asked at combine how he would kill someone

Mike Williams WR

The NFL combine is notorious for putting players through rigorous testing — both physically and mentally. In addition to being measured, working out, and doing drills, players also are interviewed at the combine, where they are subjected to a slew of odd questions.

Former Clemson wide receiver Mike Williams, who is expected to be one of the top wideouts taken in the draft, joined “The Rich Eisen Show” Tuesday and was asked what was the weirdest question he fielded. Nothing stood out to the former Clemson star, but he did recall a bizarre question one of his colleagues received.

“There’s been some pretty weird questions, but I can’t really remember them. You get some weird questions. Somebody I know said he got a question, ‘How would you kill someone? Would you use a gun or a knife?’ That’s what somebody said (they were asked),” said Williams.

“I wouldn’t know how to answer that. I would tell them I wouldn’t kill anybody, I wouldn’t be in that situation.”

Well, Mike, I do believe you did hit on the answer they were looking for. They probably want someone who says they’re not going to kill anyone rather than a player who says he’s thought about how to kill someone. If a player is methodically talking about murder, that would raise some serious red flags, especially when you have this guy in the news.
